1923 Ford T-BucketBuilt by Shane Alcote
of Thunder Road back in 2007 and delivered as a new build in 2008… As much as
there are features all over this Rod we might as well start with the obvious…
That giant monster of an engine! She’s a 540 cubic inch EFI, Blown Big Block chevy
putting out 850+ horsepower. She’s made up of a Roller cam, Trend pushrods,
Scorpion, billet stainless steel valves, Crane dual valves/springs, Edelbrock
smoothie rocker covers, modified Edelbrock victor seniors cylinder alloy heads,
Supercharged 871 Littlefield blower, High energy sump, Mellings high pressure
oil pump, CVR electric water pump, Autronic sm4 injectors efi 100-pound x 12
injectors, Littlefield intake manifold.The transmission is a
2-speed power glide with 2800 dominator stall convertor. The front-end custom
was hand built by thunder road along with a handmade rear end with custom built
coil overs. Brakes are 4 spot billet calipers with tan racing pads, remote
booster, and EF ford falcon master cylinder. Steering comes from a 1984 VW Kombi
steering box and she has also had a full new wiring loom, a custom-made
radiator, and a polished stainless-steel exhaust… the wheels are chrome 150
spoke wires with spline drive 15Г—6 15Г—10. Runs 98 high octane pump fuel and
pushed 850+ on the Dyno.Now let’s talk about
the rest of this car cos Hot Rods come in all sorts of styles and can easily be
done in bad taste… This T is how you build a T-Bucket! Only thing I’d change is
wheels with 3’ on the front and 15’ wides on the rear, but that can’t legally happen
anymore so that’s just the way it has to be.

Now… The body was hand crafted by
Shane Alcote and these Rods are what he lived for… I actually used to hang
Thunder Road and Shane used to help me with my Falcon Coupes back in the day
and saw a couple of these get hand made for some special people and I was
always blown away by the effort and absolute ridiculous level they were built
too… So the body has 20 coats of Candy Apple red paint laid on it, it’s all
velvet trim and shows a little age now but it’s part of the car and history and
unless you did it exactly the same I’d just leave it. The steering wheel was
hand made by Bob Revita to replica a 23 T-Model, headlights are original 1912
Ford headlights and the console was hand crafted out of Western Red Cedar and
has a stereo with amps and speakers in the rear… now here’s the real kicker…
All that gold work is real, and this T had 40k worth of 24 carat gold splashed
over the front and rear end when it was built.
This is a special
T-Bucket and hard to compare to anything else in the market… I’m super stoked
to see this one again myself and super proud to be able to help it’s find it’s
