Rare 1972 BMW E3 2000 sedan- complete rolling project car- steers and brakes- less engine and gearbox- this is the New Design car that set a floundering BMW on the road to the company it is today as a 1500 cc in 1963 and progressively developed into 1800 then 2000.

Built by Bavarian Spares/ Welch Auto parts in late 1980's - had full respray, built 2.0l M10 engine with kugelfisher Tii type fuel injection, 5 speed 245 Getrag gearbox, e12/ e28 5 bolt hubs front and rear with disc brake system all round- Always a rust free car and remains so apart from repairable rust around the lower edge of bootlid- caused by the double waistline moldings- a common problem area in this model. Minor damage to left front guard and roof gutter.
Excellent headlining and sunvisors- doorcards, console etc in decent shape too. Seating very sound but will require attention.
.The cluster has very rare Sports tacho fitted, the interior is a lot more elaborate than the 2 door sedan - the 2002- which was developed from this model. Glass is all there other than rear windscreen which should be easy to replace.
Has the front grills to suit the rare headlights that were a feature of these later cars- similar to those on the 2000CS coupe-1972 being the final year of production I believe. Have become highly collectable in their own right as a real driver's car.
