Seller Description
Hi, up for auction is my BSA C12 it was manufactured in 1955 and registered in January 1956.I bought it on a whim due to my health problems to give me a lift so to speak but it is now time to let somebody enjoy riding it out. It has never been been ridden nor fired up in my possesion and has remained in my home since the day it got delivered. The man whom I purchased it from told me that it was his twentieth odd restoration and he also informed me that he was an ex-secretary of the Norman members club so he was more than into bikes. The bike has had a small fortune spent on it some of the parts are as follows:- New stainless steel rims and spokes, new brass nipples, new tyres, new tubes, new handle bars and levers, new cables, new front mudguard, new clutch plates and springs, new Amal carb, new wiring loom, new seat cover and much more. I do have invoices for over ВЈ700 but these do not cover everything as I do not have the invoices for the wiring loom, seat cover, clutch parts and other items so he clearly had spent quite a lot more that what I have the paperwork for which is good news for the new owner. I have charged the battery and of course the lights and horn function as they should and there is a good spark at the plug. The kickstart locked up at one time opon removing the plug and it the functioned o.
k. and did so after re-fitting the plug so this wants futher investigation. Unfortunately whilst I was moving the bike into my home I caught the p/tank and marked it, I have sanded the whole lot down prior to applying a couple of coats of etch primer and then two coats of primer filler. After I finished preparing the surface for the top coat I applied three coats of the same. This needs finishing prior to applying the cream panel. The paint is here to finish the top coat, I purchased rattle cans which are a spot on match but you will have to buy a can of cream paint for the panel.Incidently the clips for the tank badges are present I had forgot to include them in the photo of the tank embelishments. I am unable to assist the winning bidder with the removal and loading of the bike and also note that Social distancing rules must apply.Cash on collection or Bank tranfer, strictly NO PAYPAL. I can store the bike for a couple of weeks as long as payment has been made, please communicate promptly at auction end, many thanks and good luck in bidding.
