One of just 108 produced, this 1985 Ford Laser �Carla Zampatti’ is a highly original example of the limited-edition hatchback.It is equipped with a 1.5-litre inline four paired with a three speed automatic transmission.This is an especially rare Ford Laser, from an endeavour that saw Ford collaborate with Italian-born Australian designer Carla Zampatti to produce a series of cars pitched at young, fashion-conscious drivers in the 1980s.The Carla Zampatti Lasers featured two-tone paint, upgraded wheels, �Carla Zampatti’ tan interior upholstery and, at the time, accessories such as key case, sunglasses and perfume.Its original factory equipment includes air conditioning, manual windows, and a Clarion radio and separate cassette deck.The car is sold with the original owner’s handbook, Carla Zampatti marketing materials, logbooks, and boot-mounted tool kit.The two-tone paintwork is in fair original condition.

There are some minor marks and scratches, the most noticeable of which being some marks running along the rear boot lid underneath the rear window, and some cracking of the paint on that panel.Its interior is very well-preserved. The unusual �Carla Zampatti’ tan interior has faded slightly over time, and there is a tear on the driver’s seat base; but overall, it presents well for its age.The dashboard displays no warning lights and there are no known electrical faults. However, the air conditioning would benefit from re-gassing.Most of the service work on the car was carried out by the previous owners, including routine engine oil and filter changes. The two prior services replaced the engine oil and filter, with the fan belt also being changed.The car moved into storage with the current owner six months ago and was given a deep clean of the seats and carpet.A rare 1980s collaboration that remains highly original throughout; this Ford Laser is a retro throwback that could be an intriguing show car for classic gatherings. It is in good order of its age, ready to drive and use, and would make an unusual addition to any collection of Ford vehicles or �80s curios.
