Hi Res photos for your perusal (only 12 for some reason) but genuine enquiries are welcome for more information.
firstly some conditions (sorry but has to be done).
Inspections are encouraged but only with appropriate ID and a phone number, as you can understand there needs to be some security for everyone.
The car will be sold as is, with a current VIC roadworthy certificate. There will be no registration with the car (club).
Do not ask the reserve as it doesn't work that way. Make an offer when you are standing next to the car not at midnight on the computer after 10 beers.
I am Looking for a change, can't have them all so will consider what you may have in part exchange up to and around $50K, with a chrome bumper preferably however....(see below).
Car will be paid for in cash. EFT NO EXCEPTIONS.
phone number is in Ad please call after 11 am and 9pm any day. Do Not Text, this helps to avoid the "John who is on a ship overseas and wants the car for his collection in Nigeria." Please read the ad before asking for info that's already there. THANKS!
The 1969 model was a unique shape for that year only, wider rear arches, streamlined creases off the wheel fenders and nose /grill, under bumper indicators etc. then the 70's happened and things went square and lost the 60's muscle, This particular car was an early build (sept 1968) in readiness for the 69 release.
Fully restored from ground up. New everything from Air Conditioning, Steering wheel to tyres here in Australia.
Fully rebuilt 383 small block stroker with all top quality parts ie Crow Roller Cam /Crow roller rockers/ Crow lifters etc. Felpro gaskets etc etc, Worked DART heads, Dyno tuned Street Avenger Carburettor on motor. Still running in at around 800km on motor. All head work and geometry done by Octane Alley workshops in Geelong, balanced and assembled with best parts.
Automatic 4 SPEED transmission (700R). runs at 1900 RPM at 100KMH. Lokar Shifter (looks like a gear stick), Just serviced at DTM Automatics, Geelong.
Repainted in Australia. Brand new Air Conditioning (vintage Air),( All electrics installed by Waring Electrical Automotive.)Central Locking (remote)Remote Boot releaseNew Custom TMI interior with recliner seats, new headliner.New Australian Compliance 3 point seat belts. HEMCO Australia. (also have brand new retractable sash Camaro belts thrown in).Davis Craig Digital Thermo fanned radiator and sequenced transmission cooler LED sequential tail lights ....can be switched to standard flash if required (also have original tail lights included)All electrics replaced including fuse box (professional instalation)Full MSD ignition.Pro-Comp Ultra Light gauges, Speedo /water temp/ volts/ tacho/ transmission/ fuel etc. calibrated, ie 60 mph = 100kmhNew headlights (AU)Shaved fire wall for clean look, Imported custom wiper motor hidden under cowl.New ceramic coated extractors running into Siamese crossover and via Aussie sports mufflers into 3" dumps. (have chrome classic Camaro tail pipes if wanted) SOUNDS fantastic, of course it does!!New tyres (98%)American Racing Wheels basically a resto that got carried away with going the whole hog.
Still room for badging up to a Z28, RS, SS or YENKO...........etc or keep it clean, most people have to ask what she is? I have a genuine stripe kit from USA, included. , there's a lot you could do to make it yours the way you want. The only badge on the car is on the passengers dash "Camaro"
left to do?...... well there's room for your personal touch here, dash could be tidied more around gauges (steel or woodgrain finish?) just painted at the moment. stereo if wanted, currently standard sized mini glovebox inset where radio panel is, good spot for the club book.
Room for bigger rubber and wheels if that's your thing, finish running in the engine (about 2000km on rebuilt motor). Pulls really well but as stated not fully run in but has plenty of kahunas under the lid and very drivable. comes with some extra bits, like original tail lights, coloured coded mirrors, spare electric door locks, classic 14 inch long 2 1/2 chrome Camaro tips, will weld onto current dumps, retractable lap sash Camaro belts, filed receipts of work done etc etc
...........some considerations buying US cars now.......This car is Now on Club Reg but will come with Victorian RWC and all original Californian title and receipt file. As this car IS and has been registered in Australia, no VAAS certification is required which is needed now for all imports from January 1969 onward, so a car has not had previous registration in Australia, this means engineers certification is required under the VAAS scheme for any new imports = headache!!
This is a fairly new rule from Vicroads, so actually increases the desirability of cars such as this that are clear for future owners to simply transfer as per normal or via your club, also importing means lousy AU dollar value against the USA as well as the new Customs Clearance requirements for Asbestos contaminated parts on cars and clearance requirements.........
Mature Owner looking for a more sedate /comfortable ride so may trade for a car of interest, let me know what you have I might be interested, ie something classic, Coupe sedan etc .......older Mercedes? Pontiac? Cadillac? jaguar ? ANY CHROME BUMPER CAR CONSIDERED.... :) ALSO you may have a VF redline or Clubsport or GTS you want to trade..................its worth a try as Iam wanting an everyday car too.
