1971 CADILLAC ELDORADO CONVERTIBLEThis vehicle was built here on the Gold Coast by its owner, we were heavily involved in this build with only the paint and trim being out soured by the owner and all completed approx 5 years ago. We later sold the car and now assisting the current owner with it’s marketting to find it a new home…
So this Caddie originally came to us as a standard old rag top Caddie and its owner had a vision to make it stand out from any other.

By far on of the biggest features of this car other than its imposing size and chrome work is it’s air bag system. This car is a front wheel drive 8.2L that was removed and rebuilt, painted the body colour, a bigger cam installed and new carby with as much shiny stuff screwed on it that we could get, then the front end basically had to be tubbed and modified to be able to lay out, from the windscreen back it’s pretty much a trailer with a flat floor… still clearance had to be made and these cars run such a high offset wheel and we had to still keep them tucked up in the guards. It was no easy feat but done and engineered with a QLD mod plate… the system is a full self-levelling air ride system that automatically comes up to ride height when it’s put into drive… the car has 3 pre-set heights you can switch between and while the car is in park you can use the 10 way switch panel to make it move however you want, it also has a remote on the keys you can use if you want to show it off a bit and stand back with the crowd. The paint is a Zeralic Pearl, new seals and weather stripping were all fitted after paint. The interior was done by the owner’s trimmer and all done in classic white short grain leather with new seat foams shaped for more comfort and support… Cadillac embroidery in the seats and custom boot fit out won’t let you forget you’re rolling in the top of GM’s range… 5 years down the line and she still looks amazing and looking forward to getting her a new owner and back out on the streets.
