Seller Description

Selling my 1972 Datsun 240z, this car is made on 1/72 making it early 1972 late 1971 production, it has 67000 original miles. I was in the process of restoring the car but I ran out of time and space to store the car.
I have started taking apart old parts that I'd like to replace but just haven't gotten the time to. The engine runs beautifully, and I have video to prove this, as a precaution of this being an old car, I have taken off the old radiator, radiator hose, as well as both of the belts, but will include parts for replacement.
The car currently has these things replaced:New spark plugsNew spark plugs wiresNew fuel pumpNew fuel filterNew engine oilNew oil filter
The car will come with:New 3 row aluminium radiator w/ fluid and flushNew upper and lower radiator hosesNew thermostatNew beltsNew ignition with keys (old ignition key slips out at all position, common in all old cars)New brake pads
Now a little information on the carExterior:The car is factory blue, code 115 metallic blue, one of the best colours in my opinion. The paint has all but faded and require a complete repaint as the car never came with primer from the factory.
The car is straight, as far as I can tell, it's never been in a major accident, and all panels are original to the car. It only has 1 dent on the hood, and one on the rear.
Being from California and sitting in the desert for 20 years, the car has little rust, it has surface rust on the battery tray, the floors are solid with only 2 small rust holes on the driver side floor pan and none on the passenger side pan. Both sides of the dogleg below the doors are solid with no signs of rusting. The trunk has no rust, same goes for the metal above the tail lights. The fenders have no rust as well. The major rust spot for the car is in the spare tire well and will need to be cut away and redone, thankfully it's in a easy place to work on and access. The car has a sunroof installed. Underneath the car looks clean, exhaust is not rusted out.
The fenders has been cut by previous owner in order to properly install fender flares, they have since been taken off due to their age but a new set of flares will come with the car.
The tail lights are old and cracked and will need to be replaced, but the harnesses are good and will be included, as will the tail light panels.
Wheels are staggered, they are meant to fit the flared fenders, they are wider than stock wheels and the rear tires are 205 for width, they fit nice with fender flares but tires will need to be replaced.
Now for the interior:
As with all 240z, the dash is cracked in multiple places and will need to be restored/reskinned/capped or replaced, the dash has never been taken off, steering wheel is in good condition, the shift knob is missing But easy to replace.
Center console, door panels, and glove box door have been taken off as I was going to send them off for restoration, they are wrapped up ready to be shipped so they are not currently on the car. The seats have good skeleton, but the foam and upholstery will need to be replaced. As mentioned before, the car comes with new ignition and keys.

Windows roll up and down with no problems, door opens and closes with no issues and they line up well with the body, as mentioned before, there seems to have been no accidents with the car.
The car has good vinyl interior linings inside, the diamond pattered linings are in great shape and can easily be reused. The tool kit compartment is in great shape inside with no rust.
Engine and drivetrain:
Thecar run wells, however, it needs a few things before it can be driven, as mentioned previously, it currently does not have the radiator installed, but parts will come with the sale, it also doesn't have a battery installed as well.
It does have a number matching engine and comes with a 5 speed transmission. The brake pads will likely need replacing, as well as the fluids flushed. I have disconnected the fuel line as I was going to have the fuel tank refinished before starting it from the fuel tank, the car has been sitting for a while and I did not want to run the risk of running bad fuel in the engine.
Well that's it, as I said before I don't really want to sell the car but I simply ran out of space and time. It is currently parked in front of my friends house as I have no space for it. The car is a solid car for restoration with very minimal rust and very solid chassis. The engine and transmission is good and only needs a few things to get it running again, and when it runs, it sounds beautiful.
The car is in San Jose, California, I have the clean title in hand and I am happy to arrange shipping for buyer.
Please note, a $500 deposit will be required immediately at the end of the auction.
I have tried my best to describe the condition of the car as accurately as I can, however, being a car that's 50 years old, the car will be sold as is. Please let me know if you have ant questions.
Thanks for watching and happy bidding.
