Ford Escort Mk2 Rally Car
1979 Ford Escort Mk 2 coupe. Ex-Grant Walker Motorsports car
with extensive rally history. CAMS Log booked, 2lt pinto engine with 200+ horse
power build by Grant Walker and Quiafe 5 speed dog box – this
car is solid and quick! Refreshed with new paint inside and out, new forest
flares, new front skirt and all body work refreshed. New big valves, head modified, new Kent rally camshaft, new
rockers and valve springs, long rods with CP pistons, MCA Golds – front and
rear with canisters, AP front callipers, disks all round, Group 4 wide track alloy
hubs, Group 4 studs, Quiafe quick rack, electric power steering, modified
suspension pick up points, alloy diff head with 5.1 ratio and plate LSD, band
new Minilites (plus two spares) all with new rubber,
Sparco winged seats, hydraulic handbrake, fiberglass bonnet, plexiglass sides
and rear windows with all new rubbers, new roof vent, new fuel tank, fuel pump
and lines, new front grill, Cibie spotlights, new mudflaps and Monit. Freshly
rebuilt for the 2020 East Coast Classic but plans have changed. This is a very
quick car and is in absolutely mint condition. Car comes with a number of
period stickers, including 1979 Escort WRC Portugal livery, Castrol, Bilstein,
Dunlop, etc. Car can easily be converted to tarmac spec at additional cost. Car
is located in Sydney West and is available for inspection by serious buyers.
