This Escort has been modified to be a tractable street car with the modern reliability of electronic fuel injection and electronic ignition. It has also had the running gear, steering, suspension and brake systems modified to match the improved performance. The body has been kept as an original RS2000 with original paint colour and interior.

1. Engine.Engine highly modified to give power at rear wheels 145.8 HP at 6800 rpm.
2. Fuel system. Electronic Fuel injection, Australian made.
3. Exhaust. Mandrel bent and tuned.
4. Ignition. Electronic Hall effect unit managed by EFI system.
5. Cooling. Twin core aluminium race radiator and oil cooler, Australian made.
6. Transmission. Improved Type 9 5-speed Sierra gearbox with short throw gearshift lever. Plate style Limited Slip Differential.
7. Steering. Fully adjustable strut tops, sway bar and control arms.

8. Suspension and wheels. Original Simmons alloy 5½“ wheels.

All the original components, except for the exhaust pipe, are available and WILL be sold with the car. This includes the original engine with matching numbers, front cross member assembly, rear axle, gearbox and a complete set of five original sports alloy (Volante) wheels.
The modifications could be removed to restore the car to original and the modifications fitted to a standard 2 or 4 door body.
