Clean and (apart from professionally installed and now removed lpg system!) unmolested July 1991 badged Falcon SXR8. The first XR8 and the much anticipated return of the V8 to the Falcon range since the XE in 1982. Photo's tell most of the story. Original condition, low kilometres, mint interior (everything works), no rust and very good body. A few scrapes on the plastics front and back are all that is preventing me from describing exterior as excellent condition.
Touted as one of the top 5 most collectable Falcons, it would be hard to find one in such fine condition, with so few kays, and with such an early manufacture date. I have only recently registered and put her on the road here in Tasmania - with very little work required. Professional lpg removal, transmission service and a swing arm replacement was all that was required.
Car is located in Launceston Tasmania, however I am more than happy to deliver personally to Melbourne on the Spirit of Tasmania ferry service. If Buy It Now price is reached, I will do it at no extra cost. Otherwise the cost will have to be added to the sale price.
Feel free to ask any questions. I will endeavour to get back to you promptly and can send more pictures on request.
I am well aware of the price of Ford's in general. Especially X series, E Series and A series. Please do not seek to educate me further on what 'old mate down the road' paid for his last year or otherwise. Clean and original cars (Fords and V8's especially) are highly sought after and are appreciating rapidly. I have been researching said cars for a decade and have sold others that have more than tripled in asking price in under 12 months. I am asking what I am asking - simple as that. I welcome and appreciate genuine questions from genuine buyers and will ignore desktop gurus.
It's a cool car and I really like it. My kids love a cruise in 'big red' but I am making a few changes and the old girl must go. Thanks for looking!
