In May of 1969 Ford upped the ante with the first of the XW GTs rolling off the assembly line, fitted from the factory with a 351 cubic inchCleveland V8 engine these GT’s were designed to get attention. With a total of only 2,287 XW GT’s produced and only 752 in Diamond white, these vehicles are becoming increasingly rare and harder to find. The current owner has been familiar with this beautiful GT for over 30 years and has personally owned it for the past 15, during this time it has been well documented and meticulously maintained.This GT was finished in iconic diamond white and black vinyl interior, additional factory options included the black vinyl roof and Super fringe deluxe push button radio. True to form this GT still sports it’s factory colours both inside and out with it’s iconic and aggressive in your face styling with bolder stripes, hood scoop and blacked out bonnet. Walking around you’ll find excellent condition gold side stripes along with the �Super Roo’ Ford decals and GT badges all round. The exterior for the majority has remained true to its original form; however aesthetically you will notice that the rims have been changed from the original slotters and that the front end has been replaced by that of an XF.Open the drivers door and you’ll find beautifully upholstered, mark and scratch free black vinyl seats all round with the black vinyl roof to match. The dash is in comparable condition to that of the seats with no major signs of damage nor extreme wear.Under the glossy striped hood you will find the original matching numbers engine that has had some mild work done. Originally built in July of 1970 as an XW Falcon GT 4 door this Genuine matching numbers sedan left the factory with a mighty 351 V8 & 4 speed manual transmission. The original 351 Cleveland V8 cylinder heads have now been replaced with aftermarket Chi 3V Cleveland Alloy Heads heads putting out a mean 282KW and rumble to match flowing through the custom hand built exhaust.This magnificent car is for the true blooded Ford enthusiast and is ready to enjoy as is.
