Seller Description
Time to sell my beloved HG Premier. This is a late build (May 1971) Sydney car, unusually fitted with 4 wheel drum brakes and 3 speed column shift manual behind the 186 straight 6. Original paint colour is the desirable Burnished Bronze metallic, with Sandalwood interior. The car is mostly complete and does run and drive, although the brakes need attention.
Sill and wheel arch moulds have been previously removed, and the boot garnish is not correct for this model. Otherwise, all mouldings are there, and the car is largely intact. For some reason it is running HT taillights, but it's definitely an HG!
Of course, being an old Holden, the car has rust. Cabin and boot floors appear pretty solid, with the odd pinhole here and there. There is rust in both rear doglegs (in front of the rear wheels at the back of the sills), drivers side rear quarter corner seams, a little bit on the front left hand side of the roof, doors, bonnet corners, a bit around the windows etc, all the usual places. It is certainly worth repairing though, and would do up nicely and become a very rare and desirable and valuable collector car.
It runs the correct original 14" steel wheels and hubcaps but does not have the factory Premier dress rims. Whitewall tyres are also fitted. The front bench seat is from an earlier Holden but will bolt up just fine. The interior would require a full retrim, but correct replacement vinyl and carpet is readily available for this model. All 3 tags are intact and have never been disturbed.
NOTE: the GTS guards fitted DO NOT COME WITH THE CAR, they have already been removed, and in their place is fitted fairly good standard HG Kingswood/Premier front guards ready to go.
This car would make an excellent restoration project, I have a pic showing what the restored car would look like.
I will start the bidding at a very reasonable $4,999, 7 day auction, no reserve, winning bidder to make contact and pay in full within 24 hours of close of auction, I prefer cash on pickup, but will also accept bank transfer, and have credit card facilities also. I do not accept PayPal. No returns. I can trailer the car for the cost of fuel to any Brisbane based transport depot, or within a 100km radius of Brisbane Northside. I'm also happy to assist your transport company in loading at my end. Questions? Just ask....
Car is advertised elsewhere so may sell before end of auctions.
Happy bidding!
