Seller Description

Here we have a December 1994 build VR V6 Holden Commodore sedan S pack. There is a story to this car and i will tell it as best i can from what i know about it and its one owner. It was purchased new from a country Holden dealer on 19 Dec 1994.The owner had a business in the town and traded the car in in mid to late 1999 with only 100,409 genuine kilometres on it.I was always regularly serviced and looked after meticulously. The next service sticker is on the screen with due date 10/99 or 100,000 kmsIt was traded in to the same Holden dealer on another new Holden. This where the unbelievable happens! The dealer drove this car to a yard they owned in the area, parked it, removed the battery, locked it and walked away and it sat in that same spot for 20 years. The yard was an overflow yard where trade ins were left until they got to them for resale. This along with 19 other cars mostly perfect driveable traded in Holdens were left on that block. Seven of them are here on my block, saved from the scrap yard!I am under the impression that the dealer was selling a lot of Holdens and the used car yard they had was not big enough to hold all the trade ins.Hence, out of sight out of mind and too much money maybe to worry about trade ins.I have actually spoken to the owner of this car and he told me he traded it at 100,000 as that was what they did in business for tax reasons. He said it was in pristine condition when traded.Due to its life in that yard the car has seen 20 years of weather and considering this, it has survived well.Due to the years sitting it has sustained a number of issues, i will try to describe as best can.It is a factory dual fuel model, but only runs on gas at present. I would say the old petrol would have dried up. I have put 10 litres in the tank to leave sit and hopefully revive or dilute the old fuel? When it runs on gas its runs as good as it was when parked 20 years ago.The rats had a nest on the engine at some stage but never chewed anything.

I gave it all a good clean out.It still has the green coolant in the radiator.Everything works even the brakes but the discs have a coating of surface rust and would need replacing, they are not expensive.Power steer works 100%Trans seems fine. The bonnet has a rusty area from condensation i assume and the boot corners are the same. These panels are cheap and easy to find. The bonnet was fitted with a genuine Holden Group A VN Commodore scoop by the Holden dealer for the owner. That would be quite sought after perhaps if you replaced the bonnet. All tools are there and the jack is like new.It has a tow pack on it with the square tongue bar and boot frame reinforcement pack genuine Holden.Tongue is missing. The paintwork is acceptable after i spent may hours polishing it but it is not what you would call fantastic after 20 summers outside. The hoodlining trim has dropped due to the heat but could be replaced or repaired using the original trims. The tinted windows will need to have the tint removed as it has been cooked by the sun.It is lucky that it had window tint, as the interior soft trims like seats and door trims are in fantastic condition almost as new.The dash crash pad is cracked from the heat even though it has a dash mat.I have another crack free crash pad to go with the car along with some NOS dash parts and a set of working injectors. The parts you see in the photos are going with the car.It has a set of Holden floor mats still in the car.Boot trim is in very good condition.Books are with the car as is the two original working keys. Then tyres were new almost when the car was parked and still are in my opinion in excellent condition. The door seals all look to be perfect and not falling off like some i have seen. The dash fascia and console with all instruments etc in perfect condition.I may have missed a few things here so just ask and i can answer as best i can. This lonely old car was left for dead, but i have saved her and offer her for sale.Be totally aware that she has sat for 20 years in all seasons and survived but also be aware of the few issues mentioned and you will need to do some TLC on her.Once you do tidy her up she will go for years. If i had the shed space i would keep her as the value will always be there and in the future these old girls wont be around. She is a genuine S pack with all totally matching numbers and an all original car that hasn't been molested and modified.100,000 kms is nothing for one of these really, they are a strong car made well. The car is what it is and not ready to just jump in and drive and please dont come here and pick it to pieces, just make you own mind up whether you want it or not and dont bid unless you are sure.I have been down that road, and are still going down that road now with bidders that just bid for the fun of it, and then dont go ahead with the sale, making it hard for all concerned.
I am here most weekdays if you wanted to have a look at the car, but weekday mornings to around 2 pm is best, or i am sometimes here Sat & Sun as well, mornings mainly. Late afternoons and night times are usually out.I do have a life and sometimes i need to do things away from home, so prior arrangements must be made.If i can work around your hours i will but if i cant it cant be helped. You can send your details in this auction and i will reply.
I don't want stupid offers, under the starting price and if you are the successful buyer, please go through with the deal as i have had so called buyers win auctions before and dont go through with the sale, wasting my time and money.
I think the colour is Diablo Red?If you want any numbers i have them all on the car.I can email photos if you want any, well i assume i can, through ebay? They only allow 12 and that's not enough to show everything really.Cash on pick up only!Original rego plates are with the car for the new owner to use if you want to keep the number on the car here in SA
Huge potential here for an enthusiast that wants an S pack low kilometre VR.Even put it on blocks for a few years as a nest egg?Have a look, it's here for sale. You will need to bring a trailer and your own 12 volt battery to drive it on the trailer or i have one out of my ute that can be used to get it on the trailer, but then i want the battery back.Good Luck and Happy Bidding.
