Seller Description

Here for sale is my tricolour Honda Africa twin 750 2002 which I bought from the great guys at Chequred cafe in Cornwall last year.I have been a life long biker and always liked and trusted Honda especially when, in my opinion they made the best bikes from the early eigthies to early two thounsands, ive had a few.
I went through a spait of BMW 1200 GSA and lovedthem until the build quality on my 2016 machine was poor so I reverted back to what I knew was excellent ie an older Honda. I had previously owned a black 2000 model and that was excellent also.
Im sadly selling as I have a permenent change in family commitments and as I dont need to commute on the Honda its purely a pleasure toy for which I now dont have the time to enjoy hence the sale.
Its obviously an old bike being 2002 but please study the photos and see that the condtion is excellent there is obviously a few scrapes and scratches etc but overall its wonderful, the worst bit is there is a little crack on the bottom red lower fairing, its really difficult to see especially with the crash bars on.The paint thickness and depth is remarkable for its age, not like the bikes built today.
The trip box above the speedo, sorry I dont know the proper name for it, works as does everything else, it has no faults and rides lovely. It starts first time every time, I put Irridium NGK plugs in as I always do and its had an optimate on it the whole time is been resting in the garage.
I personally have never used it in the wet in my ownership of just 8 months in fact the longest ride ive had was riding it back from Cornwall. Its does have 63,233 miles on the clock but you genuinely would not know it, it cetrainly rides like its got a quarter of that mileage. I put it down to firstly being a Honda and secondly because its appears to have been well cared for.
It does have alot of service history, not in a Honda service book, I do have a stack of invoices for maintenance work done and from that, to me its been well maintained. Im happy to answer questions but im sorry im not going to detail all the history, I would be writing for hours. The bike was serviced and checked over when it left Chequred flag and I have done less than 500 miles since that time.
It had new DID chain and sprockets at 59231 so they are all good and don't need replacing. Other mechanical things to note are new headrace bearings at 42751, value clearances at 35089.
I also have a genuine Honda owners manual.
It has an MOT until 11th August this year and had no advisories last year so I would expect the same in August. Have a look at the MOT history on line its very clean.
As you can see the wheels have been rebuilt with gold Excel rims and new spokes by Hagon which is good as I know the rims can perish on them and I personally think it gives the bike a real lift. It has crash bars and a genuine honda 45 litre top box with back rest.
Both tyres have very good tread and all the brake pads have plenty of meat on them, and will not need replacing anytime soon.
The bike has Datatool System 3 with certificate and two ignition keys as well as two top box keys.
In case you don't know there is no fuel gauge as standard its fuel tap with reserve, and yiu get a manual choke, old school.
I sorn the bike in the new year but as i said its been on an optimate, I drive it up and down the drive every couple weeks to keep things moving and let it get up to temperature.
When I was cleaning it for sale I realised sadly that I have spent more time cleaning this bike than riding it, sad but true.
Im more than happy for any civid safe inspections but it is sorn so could not be ridden, I would like think if you are looking at my add you will know what they ride like.
Please take the time to look at my seller feedback to give you confidence in bidding and reassurance if buying.
Lastly on payment, I will not accept cash and dont want to swap for anything. I will not except buyers from outside the UK.

I would require payment by bank transfer and please remember if you bid and win you buy and i would expect contact from the purchaserwithin a few hours of the end of the auction.
So in summary this is a fantastic example of the adventure bike that started it all that requires nothing, just jump on and ride.
