Used Honda CRX 1988 Rare Collectible Show Car No Reserve

Do you want a practical but somewhat bland car that gets
you from A to B and blends in with every other car on the road? Then

credibility and a car that will make you popular wherever you go, then this is
the car for you! Although 30 years old, they are still a good looking
car, with their classic wedge shape!
It has obviously been resprayed, in Lamborghini Pearl green
over Pearl White. Likely an ex-show car, it has a big stereo setup. It is Engineered in ACT and has shaved door handles (it has Door "Poppers"), wiper jets and rear wiper.
These cars are great fun and at 880kg and with 96kW have
great performance. It is mechanically fairly stock, but there are numerous
engine upgrade options readily available if you have the desire to go very fast
(I have seen a turbo CRX lap Wakefield in
under 1:10, which is faster than my mates brand new M3!)
I bought it as a project having been in storage for
most of the last 9 years, only registered for 3 months every couple of
years. As such, it has only travelled around 168Kkms. Its’ not
perfect, but it the body and interior is in great condition for its age.
I have spent a lot of time lying underneath it and it doesn’t have any significant
rust or evidence of accidents.
I have given it a major service including battery,
timing belt, water pump, brake pads, in-tank fuel pump, some suspension bushes
and all fluids. It likely has a noisy clutch thrust bearing (?) and sometimes stalls when coming to a stop, when the fuel tank isn't topped up.
It currently has about 1 month ACT rego remaining.
Being a 1988 model it is now eligible for Historic Rego, which makes it much
more appealing proposition as a “Sunday” car.
It is hard to put a value on such a unique car, but this is half the price of the ones listed on CarSales. These cars are rare and will
only go up in value.
