This is a Genuine excellent example of a Honda 2001 XR650RIt has been customised and upgraded to a rally/adventure spec using all high quality parts.All original parts are included in the sale.
It has been my bike for the last 5 years, customised for the last two.
The bike has done 7000 miles ish. 6300 KM on the original analogue clocks and 1400 Miles on the fitted Trail tech clock.It has been serviced with Castrol Power 1 10-40 fully synthetic every 500 miles with an oil filter change and air filter clean.
The bike has just been MOT’d and serviced 60 miles ago. It does not come with a service history as I have done all the work myself.
The condition of the bike is excellent, its lack of off road use is very apparent. It has had an easy time and been given only the best of everything.

There are no engine modifications (except upgraded genuine honda clutch bush as per 2002+ models).This bike has not been rebuilt or needed any internal work. It is in excellent running condition and works as Honda intended, I think there is plenty of power as a stock model.
This is the Australian variant so does not have �corking’ items fitted (exhaust baffle, air intake restrictor, de-tuned jetting) it is the full power version.
Full DC Conversion - no split AC/DC as per original spec.This means the bike can use LED lights, there is a battery so lights can be used when not running. There is an ancillary BUSBAR, so any fans or extra lights can be fitted. You can also easily wire in a 12 to 5V converter for phones or satnav. The electrics use a MEYLE 40A relay as part of the ignition circuit, this latches when the key is turned. So when the bike is off there is no voltage leakage from the battery at all.The bike also uses a key to make it more theft proof, the originals only had kill switches fitted.
The bike has done 1400 miles with all the modifications and there has been no issues at all.The new wiring set up has had a drawing created showing how it integrates into the old harness and marks up where old components have been.All wiring has been matched to ensure correct rating for current and fused appropriately. All connections have been resistance checked.The bike has 200W of power, it only uses approximately 50 Watts (80W peak when using horn and indicators), this gives plenty of spare power to install aftermarket cooling fans, road books, spotlights, chargers, heated grips (whatever you feel it needs).
The Genuine Shindengen regulator works with modern MOSFET technology. It is really effective and dumping excess heat and power to frame/battery earth protecting the Stator.
This is a really high quality custom with lots of time, love and money spent on it. It also can be returned to original easily as these parts are included (see photos): seat, indicators, tank and cowls, electrical components, stator, lights and head unit, original clocks and fork gaiters (and are in really good condition)

I am selling due to moving to a sports tourer, as I will never use this off road. I just spent too much time and money on it to see it muddy!
