I'm a car lover and heard an advertisement two weeks ago on the radio for a new model car. I love this Jaguar and had no intention of replacing it - but I came home with the new car and five cars is just too many for one person!
So I've decided to sell my beloved 2002 All Wheel Drive X-Type Automatic Jaguar.
I live in Moss Vale (not Mona Vale!) and inspection is welcome and invited. Please contact me to arrange a convenient time.
I mainly do freeway driving so although this car now has travelled 203 000km, it is smooth and very reliable. It is always serviced every 10 000km without fail. There is a service history book that was stamped by its previous owner - and since I bought it, I've had it serviced by NRA Mechanical Repairs at Carlton (I used to live in Hurstville and still go there for reliable servicing).
I bought a new set of tyres for this car in May and it has travelled about 15 000km on those excellent tyres.
Have just replaced spark plugs with platinum plugs and all new coil packs on 16/7/2018.
Replaced ABS rear wheel sensors and installed new ABS pump about three months ago.
I like everything to be just right with my cars - considering I run up and down on the freeway from Moss Vale to Sydney regularly and cannot have cars being unreliable.
The winner of the auction could take a train to Moss Vale and simply drive this car home anywhere. It loves long freeway drives and is super smooth.
The audio system is excellent - great CD player with AM/FM radio. (see video above).

Full set of books come with the car as do both keys (with remote controls).
Voice activation is great - say "CD play track 4" and it will do as you command. Similarly, say "Climate Control = 22 degrees" (or whatever you like) and it will automatically adjust.
The air conditioning is nice and cold in summer (regassed last year) and the heater is excellent on those cold Southern Highlands mornings!
The only issue is that the Navigation system is now not recognising the map DVD. Jaguar forums suggest taking out the disk and making a copy which I tried to do, but the map DVD is slightly larger in capacity than normal blank DVDs, so this didn't work for me. Whilst I was at it, I took out the DVD player and cleaned the lens, etc. Perhaps a new Map DVD would solve this issue, but to be honest, I preferred using Google Maps, anyhow, so I've never bothered with it.
There is a tiny bit of wear on the top of the steering wheel (see the video I made today, Saturday 8th September at the top of this text) and the map reading light is not sitting properly on the headlining. I cannot work out how to get it in without removing the headlining and it has never bothered me, anyhow.
Upholstery in good condition, with normal wear to driver's seat. Body is great, no rust, and only a couple of very light scratches (barely noticeable). It is a great daily driving car, and ultra reliable.
