Mazda 323 1978 Survivor Car. One Previous Elderly Owner.Purchased new from Kernan Mazda in Flemington. This beautiful 323 was owned by its original owner for 39 years up untill 2017. The bodywork is very straight and 98% rust free with only minimal rust in the back inside corners of both front doors and few small bubbles in the firewall. Aside from this the rest of the car is rust free.It has had a closed door respray at some stage.There are crows feet and some paint fade on both roof and bonnet (refer to pics). The rest of the paint shines beautifully and generally presents well.The interior is quite impressive, the seats, door cards, roof lining and original carpet are all 9/10.The crash pad has cracks (aren't they all.

.).The original radio and speakers are all still intact and working.The cigarette lighter and ashtrays have never been used.The boot release and rear demister are operative.Owners manual and broadcast sheet (build sheet) are included.
Mechanically it is pretty good and very close to roadworthy. The 1.4 litre engine is quiet and doesn't leak oil. Although a little smokey, it clears after half a kilometer or so.The transmission shifts well and kicks down beautifully.The brakes are spot on. In the last 5km I have fitted brand new brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, front brake pads, 2 front brake hoses, overhauled front brake calipers, flushed brake fluid, machined discs, repacked wheel bearings and changed oil and filter.
Removable white wall inserts are fitted to good tyres. Spare wheel retains original tyre with approx 90% tread. The front struts are soft, car stops, steers and drives as it should.
Car is sold as is, without registration, without roadworthy certificate.May be able to assist with interstate transport (I wont organise though).
