Seller Description

MG MIDGET 1974. This car was rescued from a local garage having been stripped for painting and left. As a result I have no hstory. However I now have the V5 in my name and the previous keeper is local so should be easy to trace. The restoration is almost complete. the car is fully road legal and drives A1. It could do with better seat frames and a general re fit of the interior trim which is all original and good. The CD player is new but is a little deep to sit properly in the centre consol so this needs a bracket or simply remove player. Fuel gauge tempremental. Most of the car is original. the chrome is fairly good. the front over riders have rust but I like the original look. Small tear in front of roof. Better locks would also be good. All the bits to finish to top standard are cheap and available for next day delivery. I took the car for the MOT to discover that it already has an MOT until 22/05/2013. It would appear that the previous owner did all the underneath work for the MOT then took it for painting where it sat for months prior to my purchase. It has a new nearside lower suspension arm. raided hoses and had had extensive work to the underside. I had it upon ramps for first time today to see what I was selling(Tuesday). There are two small patches either side of front which would require attention but I would say it is better underside than the majority of cars. It now has many new parts. onnet(Heritage panel). front and rear wings. anels. Headlights. heels. nbsp;door and boot seals etc. The chassis rail front passenger was replaced again heritage panel. I have many photos of the assembly and can e mail if requested. There is no rust on the body at all. hotos show it with screen frame off. oors and boot etc off. oors have had kits welded on bottoms. It is really solid. Basically it is really pretty and very. ery solid. The only reason I want rid of it is my wife wont go in it!! She drove it last week and swore never to set foot in it again. She has been spoiled with power steering and servo assisted everything. I would prefer the vehicle to be viewed in the flesh prior to any offers. It is what it is but is genuine and great potential. Use as it is and tinker in the winter. The reserve ВЈ2000. 00 is what it owes us is is about half of what these round wheel arch models sell for.
