This motorcycle was the ex Mick Hemmings bike that was on display at the National Motorcycle museum at the time of the tragic fire in September 2003. One of the last unregistered original bikes made by Norton and likely to be one of the last 30 built. Last pic is her as she was before the fire.

She was rebuilt by the previous owner who purchased her following that event in order to use her but he caught the Rudge Ulster bug so I bought her from him in 2015.
She was registered just before I bought her in 2015 on an age related plate with a view to being used as she should be on the road and not kept as a museum piece. She is classified as tax exempt. Unfortunately circumstances have prevented me from using her and enjoying the delights she can undoubtedly bring as work and latterly a need to care for my partner following a stroke, life has got the better of my passion for riding her. I always planned for her to be a keeper but that’s not become a reality
She has been set up for riding and enjoying not for originality with Pazon electronic ignition, Amal Premier Carbs, AO Services regulator/ rectifier, Peashooters, ignition warning light assimilator and 12mm master brake cylinder.
She has sat in my garage for best part of 6 years which isn’t the best way to cherish a Norton and tbh she needs the love of another owner. She has cleaned up well but has a few paint touch ups having been in the garage as shown but she starts and runs but needs a little fettling to sweeten her up as I can see she now weeps some oil from crankcase centre joint and it sounds like the carbs need a bit of setting up as occasional backfiring
Being sold as such so please be aware that she looks well but has some underlying fettling work needed to be perfect.
