Stunning unmolested original condition, as VW intended from
the factory including the subdued snarling grumble from original exhaust. She’ll
still let out a howl from the naturally aspirated V6 when driven enthusiastically,
which doesn’t require much more than quarter throttle to get her to dance, who
needs turbos when you’ve got one of these. Choose S from the 6 speed DSG and
things hot up again or select your gears with a flick of a finger from the
perfectly positioned flappy paddles at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions behind the
leather trimmed meaty sports steering wheel and she’ll blip the throttle for
you as you drop a couple turning into a corner – music to your ears. Grab a few
gears by dropping them back on with the other hand when you fire out the other side,
anything in the mirror getting smaller with every flick of your paddle finger.
I haven’t tried it myself but there is even launch control
if you want to go bonkers when the lights change to green. Sports handling from
factory coil overs, so you can throw her into corners others would cringe at and
she delivers you safely through the other side – with big smiles! A real credit
to a suspension set up that can handle so well while being compliant over nasty
bumps. If you want to drive quickly without hearing the engine sing, perhaps
pump your sounds from the premium VW sound system and enjoy the quality of
crisp clear beats. Of course you can safely granny around all day and return a
decent fuel economy in the luxury cacoon, brake gently down hills in drive and
the DSG will change down gears to hold your speed as you slow, with a more
subtle throttle blip when in D.
Alcantara and leather seats with electric adjustable side
bolsters, present well in dark charcoal, black luxurious deep pile premium carpets
as new and original R36 floor mats in excellent condition. The tasteful
interior that still looks modern today against its contemporary cousins, is set
off nicely by the conservatively tinted windows.

Factory 18” wheels are mint
presenting without evidence of any gutter rash and have new tyres all round
except the spare which is the original full size and has never left the
cavernous boot. Original removable tow bar also included. Very well kept all
round, garaged and stored under a car cover, with complete logbook service
history will surely impress the fussiest. If you’ve already looked at any other
