The pair are both right hand drive and run 350ci Chevrolet small block V8 crate engines with turbo 350 automatic transmissions. A staple engine and trans combo used by Chevrolet for many years, this means parts are readily available if required and almost anyone can jump behind the wheel and drive them. The suspension up front is a traditional So Cal drop axel with a four link rear end with adjustable coil overs paired to a Borg Warner diff in the back. Adding to the safety and driving experience is seat belts and power boosted disk brakes. One of the two has a set of zip in rain cover side windows (the other could easily have these added) and means the rods can earn their keep even if they are caught up in less than ideal weather. A great promotional item for any corporate business, the rods were professionally built by a local hot rod shop here on the Gold Coast. Among their previous clients was Vodafone who used the pair of rods as promotional vehicles at the GC600 event.
