I am 64 years old and the second owner of this 1500cc V twin classic cruiser.The first owner had only ridden it for 9,000klms when I bought It, it had 13,885 klms covered when I last rode it years ago. It was fitted with COBRA slash cut loud pipes, they sound great, the original near new exhaust system comes with the bike, it was swapped out with the Cobra pipes when the bike was first ridden mew.
Unfortunately, I fell off a 4m ladder not too long after buying the bike years ago, and smashed both of my heel bones to pieces upon landing, lengthy surgery, plates inserted and many screws holding the heel bone fragments together, and years of rehab etc trying to get back to riding again, it's not to be however, the surgeon forbids me getting back on a bike.
I will probably have to buy and straddle a three wheel Can Am Spyder or similar trike instead, the plates and screws had to stay in, and the feet are simply not strong enough to stomp suddenly or hold up a heavy cruiser with wife on board any longer.
I tried to jump start the bike up today, i got it to fire up no problem, But, fuel was leaking ing out from one of the throttle bodies, you will need to drain the old fuel and de-gum the carbies before she runs without flooding, you may also need to dump the oils/fluids and service the oil that's been in there idle for more than 10 years.
You will need to have a road worthy carried out and pay for new REGISTRATION, the original plates currently on the bike will need to be handed into VIC Roads, the bike is being sold as is with no REGISTRATION and no RWC.The bike will polish up nicely, it's very low mileage, and in excellent order for a bike its age, only dusty and afew stuffs and marks from being stored in the garage for more than a decade.I am starting to look for a Can Am Spyder or reliable motor trike in good order.
