I am a Toyota enthusiast and am (considering) thinning out the herd. I did not think this day would come but I have reluctantly decided to let go of my unique and unmolested 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, which has been in de family for nearly 20 years.
This vehicle should be seen as an investment, mint FJ40's no longer devaluate.My asking price is firm, This is a truly unique opportunity to invest in a piece of automotive history.My Land Cruiser is not your run of the mill beat up off road rig that has been modified to oblivion, in fact it has never been used off road.
It is unique in many ways. My FJ40 is a low mileage Euro Spec Land Cruiser with its original 4.2 liter 6 cylinder inline gasoline engine and factory 5 speed and front disk brakes. These are unique specs for a FJ40 and makes it probably one of few in North America. The stock 5 speed also makes it useable in todays traffic.
The Land Cruiser numbers matching, which is impossible to find nowadays. It only has approximately 123,000 km (or 76,000 miles)
The Land Cruiser has been restored in the Netherlands in 2006/2007, and no cost has been spared.
It has been a frame-off restoration (powder coated) and the body has been media blasted, dipped etc… The interior has flip up bench seats and is finished in grey leather and the exterior is Toyota Dune Beige (416). It originally in service at Rotterdam Airport fire department. This probably helped it survive and explains the low mileage.
We emigrated to Canada in 2007 and it was shipped in a container (with our furniture) to our new home in 2008. It has sadly barely been used since, about 15k km in 10 years, and only 200 km (123 miles!) since 2016.
It has a few smallimperfectionsfrom being parked outside but these are easy fixed and I will gladly point them out if interested. Theseblemisheswill need to be touched up by a body shop of your intention is to make it museum quality piece or a show winner. Paint is single stage so this will not be costly. If your goal is a solid and dependable daily driver or weekend warrior it will only need basic normal service like any other car (oil & filter).

The front seats are period correct but not stock. They are finished in matching grey leather, matching the rear bench seats and door panels, all in excellent condition. It has a warn winch with cable remote.Suspension is an Old Man Emu setup (shock, shackles s and rear leaf springs). The rest is completely stock, including a separate rear heater, tool bag, instruction manuals and original keys. All factory switches and operate as they should and everything works.
My asking price doesn’t even cover what has been spent on it. It is fully documented with detailed pictures and I have some recent videos, which can be shared upon request.
