thank you for looking at my listing for my Daytona i have had this bike since august 2015 and i can honestly say i have loved it butthe time has come to let my Daytona go for sale as I am just not using it for example I only managed 299 miles between mot tests.

last year the bike was off the road just after its mot as the tester remarked that the suspension was a little stiff at the rear so i stripped the shock linkages out of the bike as this is a known problem with the double sided swing arm model.
during this i found that the bearings had completely collapsed and had caused damage to the bushings as well so the following were replaced within the last 250 miles
new rear shock linage bearingsnew rear shock bushings (hard to find ordered from Germany)new upgraded seals and fresh grease for all bearings
on my first ride after this the front forks seals decided they had had enough and died so the forks were removed and hadnew fork bushingsnew fork sealsnew fork oilnew head stock bearingswhile doing these i changed the front and rear brake pads as the front had got fork oil on themso the bike now handles like new and wont need for any worki have changed the oil every year regardless of use
bike also has had the plastic idle air control pipes replaced with silicone as these tend to split while i was doing this i also fitted a pipercross air filter and the bike has been mapped using tune ecu i will include the cable with the sale and show new owner how to connect the bike and where to find mapsbike also has a MHP high level pipe which sounds very good
dash lights were not working when i got it so they have all been upgraded to led lights and the background lights changed to blue and the indicators have been changed to led with the correct relay fitted
tyres are nearly new pirreli's think they have done maybe 400 miles
bike also will go with solo seat cover (these are really hard to find and very expensive have seen them sell for 300 pounds) only currently only 2 online both over 150and the standard seat as well.
bike was cat n written off 3 years ago when a van reversed into me in traffic hence the small scuff on the front below the light at the time the damage was a broken mud guard and the scuff shown but the bike was written off cat n (non structural damage) as the fairings panels for these are so expensive i had it back and replaced the mud guard the fairings have not been touched
the bike is in good overall condition obviously its not a new bike and the plastics on the 955s are wafer thin so they do crack in places but it looks good for its age.
i have tried to mention everything i can think of but there is probably a load more i could say i will genuinely miss this bike as its been great and it always turns heads as they are so rare now.
the auction will run to the end there is NO buy it now
On 16-Jul-21 at 14:06:13 BST, seller added the following information:I was running the bike up to temperature the other day and noticed when it was hot it was turning over slowly so had a look over it battery is healthy but found the starter solenoid was looking very unhappy so its been replaced with a new genuine one. Bike now starts with no further problems just thought I should add this and while I had the bike apart I have removed the pipercross air filter and cleaned and re oiled it.
