1967 Honda S800 Used Manual Petrol Coupe

Selling on behalf of a deceased estate this fantastic little sports car, the Honda S800. Second generation of these little cars being the bigger 800cc engine, normal rear diff and front disc brakes. This car is a matching number car, fitted with the original engine as shown on the ID badge.
Car is in need of a full restoration but more than worthwhile to bring it back to life. It has had a failed start at a restoration by the looks of it, typically take all the parts off and then it overwhelms you. Having said that the only thing missing that I can see are the two seats and four hubcaps. Most likely the seat were left at the trimmers perhaps. Body appears to be in good solid straight condition. It has had an obvious dingle in the front near side which has been repaired poorly. Chassis appears good and solid. I have it on a hoist so I encourage anybody interested to inspect the car and make up their own minds it's worth. I have no idea so will let the market tell me. It has a bonnet off an S600 which fits but is different to an S800.
Both bumpers present as are the tail lights headlights grill, petrol cap and badge. All the glass is present and one door card, even the original carpet is there as well. Chrome seam edging is there as is the spare wheel. It has an non genuine brake booster fitted which does not allow the original air cleaner housing to be fitted, so this would need to be addressed, but the air cleaner is in the box.
The car rolls and steers so loading is not a problem from my end. The car is located at Newcastle NSW.

PS the staining on the bonnet is not rust, it's from leaves etc coming through a hole in the roof.
After speaking with enthusiasts of these little cars I understand that one of the major issues is with the cranks. I can advise that I have removed the spark plugs and the engine is not seized, in fact it moved quite freely with the plugs out. I then removed the dipstick to show nice golden oil. Not stained at all and definately no sign of moisture or water. I then drained the sump which showed around 5 litres of clean golden coloured oil, again no sign of moisture. I then removed the sump which was very clean inside and underneath the engine looked nice and clean. I could not see what would look like a normal bottom end of an engine but to me it looks nice and clean.
Sadly I do not know the history of the vehicle but surmise that after having a front end bingle it was stripped ready for a repaint. It is only showing 48000 miles and has very clean oil in the engine. It looks to have been originally a white or cream colour.
I urge anyone interested to inspect the vehicle and make their own minds up. I have it on a hoist so inspection underneath is no problem. I think both the body and chassis is in good shape.
