The service book is full and overflowing!Anything its ever needed (and more) it has had. and the records confirm this. Its not often such a comprehensive history is available. its worth its weight in gold and totally confirms the provenence of this car. The original instruction manual is in the glovebox. and the original locks and keys are also complete. There are many MOT's. and the "birth certificate" from the VW museum confirms the engine and chassis number match. and the specification is correct. The headlining is perfect. the door cards and panels are also in first class condition There are no rips. no tears no damage to the door cards. and crucially no holesfor speakers etc. The standard original interior is good and has the original dealer fitted under dash shelf. and the original dealer fitted 1970's Blaupunkt radio housedin a VW under dash console. The beading on the drivers seat is loose around the front of the base. The car drives. brakes and steers superbly. Its peppy and enthusisatic. There are no issues at all with the engine or drivetrain whish is smooth and quiet. The heaters work perfectly. There are a couple of tiny blemishes as should be expected with any car this age that hasnt been re-painted. but I will leave themso the new owner can see how original and clean this car is. There are many Beetles around for sale. but not many clean original stock examples with such a detailed and comprehensive history file. I considered that carefully when I bought this car. as it repaced a rare Oval now in a museum. I prefer this car though. honest straight and lovely. It will be really missed and impossible to replace so if it doesnt make its (realistic) reserve thenI'm quite happy to keep it. show it and enjoy it.
