This Yamaha RD400C has undergone a ground up restoration with a modern twist, it is fitted with USD fork assembly, twin front discs with 4 spot calipers, the bike has also undergone a monoshock rear transformation with ally swingarm to compliment with wider rear wheel and rear disc brake, The gauges are modern electronic and all functions working, the arrow cross over exhausts are black saturn ceramic coated, the seat is upholstered in Carbon weave with a later model rear ducktail, rearset custom footrests and gear linkage. The engine is totally reconditioned with Brand new original bore NOS cylinders fitted with Radial fin cylinder heads( very rare ). The crankshaft has been totally rebuilt with new bearings and seals throughout the engine. This engine has also been fitted with the latest electronic ignition from the USA. Machined billet alloy mirrors and Risoma indicators. The bike has been running and ridden however the new owner will need to dial in jetting and suspension settings to suit, it is a fun bike to ride and is very close for rego, it has some nice modern updates. Paint is concourse condition in pearl white with red striping.
At this point it has no battery fitted as its been in a display for a while,however bike starts and runs fine. Someone who knows these bikes can appreciate the time, money and effort that has gone into this build.
