C-Zero is an all-electric car from Citroen. It went on sale in the European market in 2010. By the way, this is the second electric car of the French company. He opened the Citroen Berlingo First Electrique line of electric cars. C-Zero was developed in cooperation with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. As a result, the electric car is based on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV model, which also formed the basis for the creation of the Peugeot iOn car.

The car has the following overall characteristics: length - 348 cm, wheelbase - 255 cm, turning circle diameter - 900 cm, volumeluggage compartment - 166 liters. That allows you to safely rank the car in the A-class (very compact cars) according to the European classification. The compact hatchback is designed for four passengers.

Full electric technology is one of the solutions used to reduce fuel consumption, emissions and greenhouse gas emissions. The car is driven by a 64-horsepower engine, whose maximum torque reaches 180 Nm. The electric motor draws its energy from a set of lithium-ion batteries, whichallows the model to move 130 km without recharging. The dynamics are impressive: the top speed is 130 km / h, the speed of 100 km / h is reached in 15.9 seconds.

According to the official press release of the French company, it will take 6 hours to fully charge the batteries from a 220 V network, and recharging through specialized machines that have one phase with a current of 125 A at a voltage of 400 Volts allows you to charge the battery in just 30 minutes.

The electric motor has the maximum possible thrust immediately after starting the engine, which means that there is no need for a gearboxBecause of this, the C-Zero electric car has a built-in demultiplier and a conventional differential. The units are installed at the back of the car close to the electric motor.

The C-Zero is very easy to use: just turn the ignition key until you hear a beep, see the green light up on the screen “READY” and bring the speed lever, reminiscent of an automatic transmission selector, into the only possible driving position.
