The Mini Countryman was presented in Paris in 2010. The crossover is made on the extended platform of the Clubman station wagon. The Mini Countryman is the first in the Mini family to have a 5-door all-wheel drive (base version before non-drive). The radiator grille has grown a little, the headlights and side direction indicators have become noticeably larger, the rear lamp blocks have been worked out in a new way, and the clearanceincreased significantly. It is noteworthy that Countryman is assembled not in England, but at the Austrian company Magna Steyr.

The Countryman is the first Mini in the family to have a body length of over four meters, which, of course, is reflected in the comfort of the rear seat passengers. The car comes with four separate seats as standard, but a solid rear seat with three seats can also be ordered free of charge. Taller seats provide a comfortable fit and improve visibility. Central flap pinstruments and round ventilation nozzles have a colored border. The salon is trimmed with very high quality leather of pleasant colors with inserts of azure blue glass, which has increased strength, and natural lime wood. Standard equipment includes an air conditioning system, audio system with CD player, high-end navigation system and the unique MINI Connected system, which is built into the cabin and allows the driver to listen to Internet radio programs. MINI Connected also contains moul interaction of the car with its owner. Optional extras include a large panoramic sunroof, xenon adaptive headlights, heated windshield, towbar, sports suspension (reduces ground clearance by 10 mm) and John Cooper Works components to improve aerodynamics.

The range of engines consists of five units - three gasoline and two diesel. The powertrains are developed using advanced BMW Group technologies and meet the Euro 5 and ULEV II emission standards for the European and US markets, respectively.Diesel engines include the Mini Countryman One D and Mini Countryman Cooper D engines, having a volume of 1.6 liters, but giving out different powers - 90 and 112 horsepower, respectively. As for the gasoline units, they are called Mini Countryman One, Mini Countryman Cooper and Mini Countryman Cooper S. All three are also 1.6-liter, and also develop different power: 98, 122 and 184 horsepower, respectively. An alternative to the standard six-speed manual transmission is a six-speed automatic with Steptronic, which can be fitted on petrol models.with engines.

At the same time, the last of the engines - gasoline, 184-horsepower, is equipped with a two-stage turbine, which increases its power. Acceleration of a car to "hundreds" with this engine takes only 7.6 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 215 km / h. At the same time, fuel consumption, even with a high-power engine, still remains very economical: only 7.4 liters in the urban cycle, 6 liters in the mixed cycle, and only 5.2 liters in the suburban cycle. Emphasizing the concept of minimalism in terms of fuel efficiency, the manufacturer equips all models as standardCountryman systems such as energy recovery during braking, automatic stop and start of the engine, an indicator of the optimal moment for shifting, as well as active control of engine accessories.

The all-wheel drive system ALL4, which has the Mini Cooper S Countryman and Mini Cooper D Countryman, will give the driver pleasure even on difficult sections of the track. The car has excellent grip of the wheels with the road surface, which provides excellent handling. Power between front and rear axlemi is regulated by a central differential with an electromagnetic clutch, which is connected to the main gear. The car behaves superbly on any road, featuring excellent stability and high aerodynamic characteristics. Mini Countryman is able to compete with such cars as Mitsubishi ASX, Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Yeti or Toyota RAV4.
