The Rover Streetwise is a compact car that was first introduced by the British automobile company Rover in 2003. The compact was built on the basis of the Rover 25 model, which has been produced since 1999. In general, this is the same 25th model, the main difference of which is the new unpainted plastic bumpers and protective body kit around the circle, roof rails, 16-inch wheels, as well as increased ground clearance (167 mm). Note that Streetwise was very practical thanks to the unpainted plastic body parts that eliminated the appearance of the prehellish small chips and scratches as a result of unsuccessful parking or hitting an inadvertently open door. Rover introduced the Streetwise version as a “city-adapted” version of the Rover 25. The Rover Streetwise is available in two body styles: a 3-door and 5-door hatchback. In the basic configuration, the car had four seats, but the manufacturer also offered a 5-seater saloon as an option. The wheelbase of the car was 2,500 mm, the body length was 3,980 mm, the width was 1,950 mm, and the height was 1,500 mm.

For the Rover Streetwise model,There are four engine options: petrol four-cylinder power units with volumes of 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 liters, as well as a turbodiesel with a volume of 2.0 liters. As for the transmission, a 5-speed manual gearbox was installed here, and for a configuration with a 1.8-liter engine, a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) from the German company ZF Sachs AG was offered. The Streetwise suspension design is original and has nothing to do with the Rover 25. The front independent suspension included MacPherson struts, shock absorberscoil springs and anti-roll bar. It is worth noting that the front levers have been reinforced. The rear suspension is semi-independent with a firmly fixed I-beam and shock absorbers with coil springs. The braking system consisted of front disc and rear drum brakes.

As mentioned above, the standard salon is four-seater. Two separate seats were installed at the back, and between them was a plastic panel with a compartment for small things. All seats had a developed lateral supportlively. Fairly high quality leather was used in the interior trim. The standard equipment of the Rover Streetwise model already included front power windows, a driver's side airbag, anti-lock braking system ABS and a CD player. As an option, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, air conditioning and parking sensors (parking sensors) were offered.

The Rover Streetwise was completed in April 2005, along with the rest of the Rover vehicles. This was due to the bankruptcy procedure of MG Rover, which began at that time.
