The Bravo II hatchback debuted in early 2007. He replaced the Stilo model and the Fiat management has high hopes for him. The novelty has a distant ancestor - the first generation Bravo, released ten years ago. The car was very successful and even became the "Car of the Year - 96" in Europe, but the expected sales volumes were not achieved. The problems of the concern itself began to worsen. The then leaders of the concern were quick to declare that the business that is done with small cars is a small business and that Fiat needs “shift the center of gravity. " Stilo was called to replace him. In the marketplace, however, Stilo has virtually failed completely. Buyers were not willing to pay such a high price for Fiat. But nobody canceled the strategy of entering higher market segments, and now a new golf-class car will have to "shift the center of gravity": Fiat Bravo II generation. The return to the Bravo name is not a lack of imagination, but rather a desire to reclaim lost customer attention.

This car is the beginning of a new era in the history of the brand. The company even phas developed a new emblem, which will appear for the first time on the new Bravo. Unlike the first generation Stilo and Bravo, there will be no different body options. The Bravo II will only be offered in a five-door design.

Stylistically, the novelty embodies a fundamentally new direction in Fiat design. The company's designers now draw inspiration from classic Fiat models from the 60s (with their curvaceous curves and rounded sides), as well as the looks of modern Maserati models. From the latter, the new Bravo borrowed the characteristic design of the front end, bold linsilhouette and cutting sidewalls of the body stamping. From experiments with Stilo, they decided to leave a platform adapted to production needs and overall dimensions. The body has a clear wedge-shaped shape, all lines are swift and rounded. The car turned out to be restrained, but beautiful and modern. At the same time, the appearance of Bravo is unmistakably of Italian origin, which gives this model sophistication and expressiveness.

The suspension is built according to a reliable and traditional scheme for this class: pseudomacferson in frontand a semi-independent design at the back.

The developers paid a lot of attention to the interior design and functionality of the front panel, as well as the level of equipment and on-board electronics designed to monitor both the safety and comfort of passengers. Bravo has a beautiful interior: the interior is made of high quality materials, even the smallest details are carefully worked out.

The engine lineup has also undergone major changes. And if the base engine for a new item, in principle, is already known from previous models (this is 1.4smooth 90-horsepower gasoline unit), then the other four will debut on the Bravo II. Two 1.4-liter petrol turbo engines developing, depending on the boost pressure, 120 or 150 hp. And a pair of 1.9-liter Multijet turbo diesels (same power).

It is assumed that at the end of 2007 there will be new 1.6 liter turbodiesels with 105 and 120 hp.

A golf class model must first of all be practical. With rather classic external dimensions for class C (length 4340 mm, width 1790 mm and height 1490 mm), the car has a very large wheelbaseth - 2600 mm. According to company representatives, this allowed the designers of the model to provide a decent level of comfort for each of the five passengers, as well as to increase the luggage compartment volume to 400 liters, which is one of the best indicators in the class.

Bravo will be sold in over 60 countries, including markets in South America and Asia. The company expects to sell 120,000 units in the first year.
