Since 1902, the production of motor vehicles began in full, for which motors were supplied from France and Switzerland. After a while, motorcycle racer Rem Fowler took the victory in the competition on the company's motorcycle. This gave rise to the sporting future of the company. Norton motorcycles have won the most prestigious races more than ten times. The first trademark of the organization had the interesting name "curly N", it was co-authored by Norton's daughter, who quite often took part in testing motorcycles developed by her father. Unfortunately, the victories in the competition did not bring sufficient dividends, the financial condition of the company was not stable, the corporation could not work fully due to which the demand for products fell. As a result, in 1953, the company was bought by an organization called Associated Motorcycles (AMC). The creator of Norton was James Lansdowne Norton.
