Seller Description

Mercedes-Benz 200-Series. 2.2 liter inline 6 with Automatic transmission. I installed a new (rebuilt) radiator, new water pump, replaced a couple of leaking fuel lines, flushed the fuel tank, replaced the spark plugs and battery, changed the oil and it fired right up. The M127 engine is equipped with the desirable Bosch 2 plunger mechanical fuel injection. The rear end has the spring type load leveler.Original 13 inch wheels and MB hubcaps. All glass is good, windows roll up and down, doors open and close smoothly, and lock properly. The seats are in fair to good condition although the drivers seat does have a split seam.I have only driven it about 25 or 30 miles (up to about 65 mph on the highway, see video link below) but it runs fairly well and the transmission seems to work correctly. The engine does smoke a considerable amount especially on startup but it hadn't been driven for more than a decade, so it may clear up. But in my (unprofessional) estimation it may need valve stem seals at least.Unfortunately, the car has spent most of it's life in Minnesota, therefore it has rust. Cabin floor has been restored but rust remains elsewhere. I believe the worst of it is across the front under the radiator and the spare tire wells in the trunk. The paint is appears to be original but the top was at some point painted white and that paint is very thin and has oxidized to the point that you can nearly wipe it off with your hand. There is 1 significant dent on the right side of the roof near the windshield. There are other minor dents, dings, and scratches. The interior wood finish has deteriorated but the wood is all there and could be refinished. The vinyl coverings on the window sills and rear deck need to be replaced. It appears that all the exterior trim pieces are there. And although the chrome finish could stand some attention, it is not deeply pitted or peeling.
The reality is, this car needs a complete restoration which I have neither the skills nor funds to complete.
The car is registered and located in Prescott Valley, Arizona and will remain there until all payment has cleared
I have a clear title in my name.
