One of 224 Hertz Rent-A-Racers produced for the model year and was originally delivered to Reynolds Ford in Syracuse, New York for use at the local airport. An extensive mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment was subsequently performed by the previous owner around 2015, including a rebuild of the original 302ci V8, resealing the C-4 automatic transmission, completely refreshing the interior, new wiring, and much more. Originally finished in Highland Green, the car currently wears an older repaint in Raven Black. The interior was disassembled and the under-dash and inner doors were painted their factory Charcoal color. New carpet was installed, though the original dash pad, plastic rear panels. The heater core and air conditioning evaporator were refurbished during the updates. Power comes from the numbers-matching 302ci V8, which was rebuilt with hardened valve seats and stainless steel valves during the refresh. A new engine wiring harness was also installed. The C-4 Select Shift automatic transmission was resealed, and a new torque converter and flex plate were fitted. New upper and lower control arms were installed along with new perches and shocks.

The original coil springs were sandblasted and powder coated. The factory steering box was restored, and new tie rods, idler arm, power assist valve, a new ram pump, and new power steering pump were fitted along with new lines and hoses. I'm the 3rd owner since 2018. The car rund and drives great, engine pull strong, transmission shift good. Clean title in hand.
