The Z8 was the production variant of the 1997 BMW Z07 concept car. Designed by a team led by Chris Bangle, the exterior was designed by Henrik Fisker of Aston Martin fame. The Z07 was originally created as a styling exercise intended to evoke and celebrate the 1956-59 BMW 507 in time for the millennium change. It caused such a sensation at the 1997 Tokyo Auto Show, BMW decided to make a production version called the Z8. Powered by the same high-revving V8 from the M5, and a sporty chassis setup, it is an absolute thrill to drive.
