Used Valiant 1968 VE Regal sedan - less motor

This is a 160HP slant 6 car. Model is a VE8 - M - 41 Body number 4255It is a Regal so has all the up market options like interior light switches on the back doors. This car has been in shed for nearly its whole life.I purchased it from a deceased estate in November 1990. It had been sitting in a shed and had not been driven for many years. It only had 35044 miles on the clock.

After a lot of work including tyre, hoses, radiator, starter, water pump etc it was put on the road in April 1991.The motor was rebuilt in Dec 1991 and the diff replaced.The gearbox was reconditioned June 1992.In September 1992 the motor put a leg out of bed punching the conrod through the side of the block just in front of the starter motor.There was a small fire that was put out by a good samaratan.I put it into a shed in northern NSW. It has been through half a dozen hay sheds since.12 months ago I had to move it down to Wollombi. I don’t have shed space for this anymore. It is currently under a car cover. It will degrade out in the open so I am reluctantly selling it before this happens.This is a really original condition second owner car. The body is in remarkable condition for 50 years old. It currently has a genuine 50,221 miles on the clock.The doors fit etc is really impressive.It seem to have very little rust.It still has the reconditioned Borg Warner 35 Auto in it but l would expect it needs sealsAll four dress irms and hub caps are included
The bad.It obviously doesn’t have a motor. The 160HP slant 6 was removed years ago.It also needs some wiring replaced that was burnt.I haven’t put motor into it as it could be repowered in a number of ways. These came out with a slant or 273 V8 eight.There must have been a dent repair on the driver side rear quarter before I owned it. It was skimed in bog. This has lifted off. I have sprayed this in cold gal to protect it.There is a pretty poor bit of panel repair on the passengers side front panel behind the bumper.There is also bog in the rear pillars under the badges.The boot lock has been punch in at some stage. It had a central locking solenoid fitted. The lock location is damaged. The carpets are trashed.There is a tear in the Drivers side of the bench seat that has been sewed up.Rats have also chewed a whole in the side of the back seat.There is a dodgy Dick Smith LED tacho in the bottom of the gauge clusty. I have included a spare complete dash from a VF which has the same gauges.There is also a spare front windscreen on the back seat.The dash pad is fairly cracked.After 50 years lots of seals are leaking.The brake rubbers have also all completely rotted away.Apart from this the car is a barn find that rarely comes up.Please contact me to arrange an inpection.
