Was bought for my daughter so we could keep the 5L Commodore theme in the family and as a backup for my
work test vehicle (servicing the electronics in these cars).


I've done plenty of work restoring it since we got it but has just proved too big for my daughter to
use as a daily driver and has already bought a Toyota Corolla Ascent to downsize.

'96 Holden Commodore VS V8 HSV Enhanced BT1 ex-Cop chaser in great mechanical condition.


Was fully maintained by me so just about everything has been recently renewed or serviced and ready to go.


With wide low-profile tyres it sits like rails on the road.
Ex-chaser options, including: ABS, IRS, Air Conditioning, easy shift into 2nd gear, SS interior,
FE2 suspension, larger fuel tank, speed alert, low fuel warning.
BT1 plated (for insurance purposes it is an Executive).
Only one owner since it's sale from the police up until me (3rd owner) from Sep 2016 onwards.
Auto transmission, full rebuild (May 2017).
DOES NOT HAVE the BT1 speedo, which didn't have a proper backlight, looked ugly, was hard to read and
was more a nuisance than useful - was replaced with a standard (serviced) VS speedo.
Bathurst Rally bodykit fitted by previous owner - BUT I have replaced the front bar with a standard
bumper due to the Rally one scrapping the ground all the time while getting into driveways - again, it was more
of a nuisance than justified the aesthetics of the car.
HSV 17" wheels.
Tyres: 235/45 R17 W-rated, Top of the line Yokohama wet weather patterns, new: (May 2017).

A lot of new parts around the dash/console to fix most of the mounting holes the Police had put in
for their equipment.
CUSTOM DIGITAL SPEEDO unit ..... featuring:

-Easy to read 14mm red 7-Seg LED auto-light-level adjusting digital speedo

-Speed alert. Yes... you have two of them in the car
so you can set both for different speed limits to save having to adjust all the time.

-Digital RPM display

-Battery voltage display with Under/Over-voltage alarms

-Engine over-temperture monitor with alarm

-Engine immobiliser - can be configured for "PIN to Start", "PIN to move", or disabled

-Fully automated anti-car-jacking (can be enabled/disabled in numerous levels depending on the security you want)

-Vehicle summary report with: Highest Speed and RPM, Fast Accel/Heavy Braking/Over-revving count
...see how much the mechanic over-revved the engine
whilst it was in their hands and get them sacked! :-( Yes! It happened to me - not in this car but my VR V8
whilst getting new tyres, and the idiot got sacked straight away. It also shows how far they drove
the vehicle.

-"Valet Parking" mode with obnoxious over revving alarm (Enable it when you hand it to the mechanics,
....or the tyre people. aaaaarrrg!)

-Limited driving distance mode that will shut the engine down if someone else tries to drive it all over town
when they were meant to be working on it. (Automatically enables "Valet Parking" mode)

-Digital odometer which can display down to the nearest metre.

-Ambient Temperature display.

-Climate Control (with compressor saver that switches the Air Cond off on high RPM - set lower than the
built-in fan clutch cutout).

-Overdrive reminder - if you forget to put it into Overdrive on the freeway (You should normally be driving
these cars around town in "3", not "D")
CUSTOM ENGINE SIGNAL DIAGNOSTIC DISPLAY unit --- Allows instant diagnosis of the major faults of engine not
starting, straight from the Driver's seat, showing:

-Hall sensor signal LED (from distributor)
