I bought this car a few weeks ago as a small project, this was bought from someone who had the vehicle for 12 months as a work motorway cruiser, previous to that it was owned by a mature couple for many years until part exchanged for a newer car.
There is no service history from the PX, however he was advised by the MB dealer that it was looked after. The guy before had a full service done as followsOil, air, brake fluid, coolant change, front discs, pads and wear indicators.It was and still is a very honest car and described accurately.
I have since put on rear brake discs, rear pads, rear handbrake shoes and springs. The next part of the project I started was the diesel injector seals... this is were it all went Pete Tong....
There was very little Black Death symptoms other than a slight chuffing noise. I bout the puller, seal kit and grease etc.. did everything fine up until the injector bolt going in and BINGO... the ******* bolt snapped off... we tried a helicoil in the rocker, put it back together and now it chuffs like a steam train and spits diesel...
This is where a small project has turned into something I don’t want to do....
It will need the injectors removing ( free pulling tool included ) they will come out easy as no Black Death crud is on them.. rocker cover removing... sheered bolt extracting and rebuilding ( perhaps with a second hand rocker cover and new gaskets ) it was will probably cost no more than ВЈ50 in parts...
If you have the space, a warm garage and a few hours of patience to spare.. there is some profit in this car
Mot will be needed on 23 May 2020 but if you look at the history online it’s pretty good and can’t see it failing on much.
No blue smoke, pulled well and gears changed very smooth.

It’s well shod with plenty of tread
Needs to be towed or trailered away due to fuel leak from injector.
Comes with V5 and one key
Other small things are a crack in the drivers wing mirror, the electric headrest for the passenger is in the up position, and there is a small squeak from the back which is a dry bush.
I can’t be anymore honest than this...
Really wanted to finish this project but a little out of my comfort zone now to complete.
