Seller Description

1928
BSA 2 1/4Hp. 250cc barn fresh restoration project with V5C
Here is a rare opportunity to own and restore an original
unrestored vintage BSA with V5C doc and original registration.
The bike is mostly complete and original and the
engine is turning.
It will require a full strip down and rebuild but
should make an attractive lightweight vintage machine for anyone wanting to get
involved with the vintage bike scene.
Front and rear brake plates and primary chain case
cover are missing but the most important items are there.
The bike comes with V5C doc. Registration number VJ
1330 is the original to the bike .It is non transferable as it has been
reclaimed using the records from Herefordshire Record Office.(copy included).
The bike was first registered on 26th November 1928, so is most probably a 1929
model.
The record also states the model as 15-29 deluxe,
2.25Hp Frame number 47515 and engine number 44809 are the originals, matching
the original record as well as the current V5C.
The bike is registered for Historic vehicle (free)
road tax and is MOT exempt.
Cosmetically the bike is clearly poor all round and
will need complete and thorough restoration from top to bottom. That said most
parts including mudguards and tank appear sound and easily reclaimable.
Don’t miss this chance to bring a lovely little
vintage BSA back to life,
A nice four stroke starter bike for the vintage enthusiast.
