Car now sold. Thank you June. Here for sale is a truly exceptional Vauxhall Astra 1. 3 Merit MK2. The car has covered a genuine 43500 miles from new and is offered in excellent condition throughout. The Astra has an Mot right through to April 22nd 2014 and road tax through to the end of June so it is ready to be driven away and enjoyed.

The car has had just 3 owners from new. The 1st owner. a Mr Cole. kept the vehicle until July 1990. it then passed to a Mr Warner who kept the car through to October 2012 when it was sold to the last owner who only wanted it as a stop gap car and now has no further use for it. The car still has its original book pack including the service book which sadly has never been stamped. Mechanically the car is superb. The engine. gearbox (4 speed) clutch. steering. brakes. electrics. tyres etc etc are all in perfect working order. The car still drives as it did when it was new and could be trusted to get you anywhere. Please remember that this model Astra does NOT have power steering although the steering is quite light and perfectly manageable. The car is very economical and returns around 35mpg around town and over 50mpg on a run. The interior is almost like brand new. The car has never been smoked in and as far as I can tell never had pets in either. The seats. carpets. door cards. headlining etc are all perfect. It still has its original radio fitted which works but is basic to say the least. The bodywork is in very good condition for its age. The car has never been in any accidents and still boasts all its original panels. There are some blemishes as you would expect. there is a scratch which has been touched in on the rear nearside passenger door. a scuff on the edge of the passenger side front wing. a ding on the rear offside door. a small shallow dent on the tailgate post next to the rear window and the top edge of the tailgate has been resprayed at some time and has micro blisters. That all sounds a lot but I want to be honest and none of it detracts from the overall condition and appearance of the car. Viewing of the car is welcome and highly recommended.
