Kawasaki ZZR 1100 1992 PROJECT BIKE.
This 1992 ZZR1100D was purchased as a project and has been sitting in the garage under cover waiting for me since 2018.
I have too many project bikes and am cutting back as I retiring soon. My larger bikes will be for sale.
This is a good example but it does have some issues to be addressed. Bike was previously registered in NSW on full rego and has an Australian compliance plate dated 11/92.
It is not on the WOVR and can be re-registered with some work.I had the bike running when purchased a few years ago but it has not been started since then.
The battery is dead and I expect the bike will need all fluids replaced and carbies cleaned out.The tank has some rust in the lower sections and has broken through. The tank will need welding repair and work before use.Some scratches are on the tank from transport previously but no dents or damage.The exhaust has minor rust underneath where the 4 into 2 joins and will need welding repair.I will not be trying to start the bike in this state.
Cosmetically the bike is in good to very good condition. It has some original decals on the fairings but has been resprayed a navy/purple at some stage.The respray looks good and has a matching tinted screen.Dash,clocks and seat are in good condition.Bike has a new front tyre and rear tyre looks serviceable, both hold air and rotate well.Previous owner said they had done fork seals, fuel pump, calipers and pads recently.Original kilometers 87,000.
I would think this is a very good project bike for a classic ZZR1100.The ZZR1100 was the fastest production bike of its day and is sure to appreciate over time.
The start price is low as this is an unreserved auction for a project bike and the bike will be sold.
