Up for grabs is the ultimate KTM 640 Adventure or Adventure R as it is also known.These are becoming quite scarce and I'm sure they will only increase in value and I would say these are the best Adventure bikes.
30L fuel capacity means near 350 mile range.1500 mile service intervalsKick start as well as starter motor. These bikes can kick over and run even if the battery has failed due to the capacitor discharge system.Front forks rebuilt 300 miles ago with genuine KTM seals and specified oil filled to 120mm as per workshop manual.Suspension set to standard clicks right in the middle.New Mitas E 09 rear tyre also 300 miles old, front is past its best and will need changing.In July 2017 the engine had an overhaul at a cost of ВЈ2834.13 at Edmundson Racing. Engine has only completed 3k since and runs perfectly.Comes with original centre stand.Scotoiler that works very well.Has a raised clear screen that keeps the wind off you in the blistering winter conditions its very effective.Touratec aluminium Panniers although they have had a tough time from the previous owner but still very usable.

Crash bars fitted to protect all the important parts of the bike. My tyre irons are perfectly located below the headlight.MOT until the 7th of August.Comes with waterproof android based phone and holder loaded with Osmand and the latest TET maps and 3.3 AMP twin USB charger.
As with most bikes of this nature it does get used for what it is intended for and that means I've done all of the TET around Wales and that includes the newest West Wales Tetty trail.It does have marks worst around the front mudguard and the right side nose cone where the paint cracks on both sides and the usual KTM tank paint bubbling.A very capable machine that will eat the miles up that can be loaded up with gear even the kitchen sink.I have fitted a new 44 tooth rear sprocket from the standard 42 which gives a little more punch on challenging sections but not noticeable at cruising speeds maybe 200-300 rpm increase.The only annoyance with the bike is the silly 2.15" front wheel. If I was keeping long term I would fit a 1.60". It's not as vibey as people say but it does have the rubber foot peg inserts for more tarmac sections if your not man enough !Some spares like levers seals ect.
It does need a filter and oil service but if your like me I have to perform this on every new bike I buy so it seems pointless but I will be happy to run through the procedure with the new owner as its a bit more involved due the oil in the frame and twin filters.
