Suzuki RGV250PRare opportunity to acquire a fast appreciating classic two stroke. This fully
race kitted and fully prepared RGV has been owned by myself for over 22 years.
It was used competing in the Scottish
championship and some races in northern England, with excellent placings, winning
our last race at Croft.
This bike has rare, full Suzuki Race Kit parts and modifications carried out:Cooling system modified along with inline temperature pickup.
Race kit cylinder heads (Centre plug).
Stage ll cylinders modified to production racing specifications by the late
Trevor Smedley (probably the best two stroke tuner ever in the UK).
Air-box modified to stage ll
Pistons, rings, gaskets, power valves all as per stage ll and new.Kit ignition ECUCarburetors modified to stage ll.
Premix setup.
RGV250P was the 1993 and updated model with the braced swinging arm for racing.Engine upgrade, The V-twin
was redesigned from 90В° to 70В° between the cylinders. Ram Air cooling system.
Other changes from previous model: Overall length increased to 1995 mm (78.5
inches), new double braced swingarm with extra rigidity for racing, revised
power-valves, revised gearbox (2nd and 5th).
Ohlins rear shock absorber, Maxton modified front fork internals.
Aluminum subframe.
30% more power than std RGV runs a total
loss system and complete bike weighs a fraction of STD machine. This bike will
embarrass much larger capacity machines, with much later braking requirements
and higher corner speeds.
V5 held and clean.
This RGV is fully prepared for another season with everything gone over and
replaced where required:
New crank seals, water pump seal, pistons, rings etc
Calipers and masters cylinders fully overhauled.
Forks fully serviced
This is a rare genuine machine maintained to top condition and has the original race fairings fitted, which show all and not hiding any surprises, just battling
scars gained during race use (some scratches to the tank and damage to the fairing from ground contact). More images available if required, [hidden information].
Bike can be reverted to road if desired.
