1986 Yamaha YZ490 Evo motocross (re-advertised due to no contact from previous winner)
This bike was not long ago imported from California and I had the intention of giving her a full restoration but I also bought some other bikes at the same time so letting a few go as I wont get the time.
The bike is complete and has been running and ridden and selects all gears as she should, the carb will need cleaning as she will only run with the choke out (Been stood for months). This bike has serious compression and makes my CR480 feel like a 250 and that's a left kicker.
The bike is a very nice start for a restoration and the wheels (no rusty spokes) ect are in very good condition even the original exhaust is very good and just has 1 small dent on the underside which you cant really see (the rest is just surface rust the silencer is a DG). It looks like someone loved this bike for may years then recently some moron attacked it with a spray can so all cosmetic. It has a oversized tank but if you wanted a standard size they are readily available as are new side panels. I have a new seat cover which is included and a set of new white mudguards front and rear.
All in all she will make a great bike with a bit of love and has all the parts needed to do so. Both frame numbers and engine numbers are correct and I also have the Nova certificate to make it road legal if your mental enough.
Please no silly offers as I don't need to sell her I'm just giving someone a opportunity of a great project. The bike is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to remove the add at any time. I'm happy to do viewing but will need notice as the bike is in secure storage.
The winner is to pay ВЈ200 deposit within 24hrs of auction end by transfer and the remaining balance in either cash or transfer on collection..... Or I can recommend a courier that I use who charges between ВЈ100-ВЈ150 mainland uk at buyers cost..
