The presentation of the Peugeot 307 CC concept car took place at the Paris Motor Show in 2002. A year later, the car was put into mass production.

The decision to launch a convertible based on the Peugeot 307 is clearly based on the success of the 206 series. But the second coupe-convertible in the Peugeot range has become much more practical, more comfortable and more representative. If only because it is made on the basis of the older model 307, with which it has many common external features. But there are also tangible differences from the production 307 version, namely a lower and inclined windshield, which gives a stylish aimnny look, and an angular bumper. Thanks to this, it was possible to improve the aerodynamics of the car and achieve an almost complete absence of air flows in the cabriolet cabin. But the silhouette of the rear is reminiscent of the Peugeot RC concept cars, it has become more expressive than that of the hatchback. This is facilitated by: an elegant inflow on the trunk lid, which acts as a spoiler, new taillights, which not only changed the shape, but also the filling - instead of conventional lamps, they are created on LEDs.

One of the advantages of the 307 CC in comparison with the 206 CC isIt is that the convertible can accommodate 4 adults without much hesitation. Vehicle dimensions: length 4.34 meters, wheelbase 2.61 m, height with the roof raised 1.42 m. From the 206 CC convertible got the technology of automatic closing - opening the hard roof. But if on the Peugeot 206 CC it was necessary to manually unlock the roof, then the "big brother" is relieved of this inconvenience.
