In September 1983, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW presented the top model from the Motorsport GmbH division, the M635 CSi. The car had an E24 body and a powerful high-speed 6-cylinder M88 / 3 engine with a volume of 3453 cm³ with a capacity of 286 hp, which allowed speeds up to 255 km / h.
