1981 GPZ 1100 -
Great running, easy start, very fast, plus original looking:JE 1260 J/GPZ piston, 11.2 to 1, with the big cam and Dyna ignition starts and runs without any detonation issues. 78MM MLS Cometic head gasket is .040" thick and 3 piece steel, no more leaks!Megacycle .410" cam set and the 36MM RS Mikuni intake manifold adapters and 36 MM RS carb set.
Dyna 2000 ignition, original coils, but new plug wires and caps with 6 MM solid core and NGK resistor caps. The Dyna comes with new primary trigger wires and fresh 12 volt supply wires.
Re-located petcock which fits just right that mod is so worth doing because you want the bike to look like it came from Kawasaki with a carb. The petcock has to be moved rearward about 2".
Electrical has a new fuse panel from Waytek Supply with a modern ATC, 6 circuit one that will fit under the left body cover instead of under seat mounting.
Pull the choke and bam its running and sounding awesome.
Old Bassani pipe, fork brace and Eddie Lawson Seat are the visual upgrades that say this is not an original bike.
